The 9th Pan-Russian GMP Conference with international participation will be held on August 21–23 in the city of Ufa which is the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Russia. The choice of the Conference venue is not accidental and relies, among other things, on the opportunity to introduce participants to the region’s pharmaceutical industry.

At the beginning of the 20th century, medicines in the Republic were mainly produced in pharmacies. Today, there are 2 facilities producing medicines in Ufa – Pharmstandard-UfaVITA and the Ufa branch of NPO Microgen called «Immunopreparat».

• Pharmstandard-UfaVITA produces more than 130 medicines, including non-sterile solids (tablets, dragees, capsules) and sterile drugs as liquids and lyophilizates (in ampoules, vials, cartridges, pre-filled syringes, polymer dropper bottles), implants in syringes. Pharmstandard is the general partner of the 2024 GMP Conference.
• «Immunopreparat» is the Ufa branch of NPO Microgen (part of the «Nacimbio» holding of the Rostec State Corporation) focused on the production of immunobiological drugs: vaccines, bacteriophages, immunoglobulins, botulinum toxin. The facility’s portfolio has more than 30 medicines and medical devices. «Nacimbio» is also a partner of the Conference.

Talking about the pharmaceutical industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan, it should be noted that by the end of 2025, Bashkortostan plans to build a facility for the production of higher fatty alcohols to be used for the manufacture of various pharmaceuticals. And by 2030, the Republic plans to launch the production of chemical raw materials in the «Cheminvest» facility.
