Welcome address of Vladislav Shestakov for the attendees and guests at the 10^th Anniversary Pan-Russian GMP Conference with international engagement

Dear colleagues, partners, attendees and guests of the 10^th Pan-Russian GMP Conference with International Engagement,

On behalf of the Federal Budgetary Institution “State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices” of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, it is my pleasure to welcome you all to the leading event of the year in the field of good practices — the 10^th Anniversary Pan-Russian GMP Conference!

For ten years, the Conference has not only become a prestigious platform for professional collaboration, but a space for sustainable dialogue between regulators, manufacturers, industry experts and scientific communities. This platform provides solutions that contribute to the development of good pharmaceutical practices and strengthening reliance to the local pharmaceutical system, including promotion of quality standards both in Russia and other countries.

This year, we get together in Moscow — a hub for industry, science and education in Russia. Anniversary conference, symbolically takes place in Moscow, highlighting the importance of a systemic approach to industry regulation and each participant’s contribution to the common goal — ensuring patient access to effective, safe and quality medicines.

The Conference program focuses on the entire landscape of current challenges and prospects the pharmaceutical industry is facing. We will discuss the strategic role of good practices in medicines marketing, topical GMP inspection and manufacturing authorization issues, and collaboration within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), focusing on digital transformation and introduction of new technological solutions.

A special focus of the Conference will be set on the development of professional competencies within the pharmaceutical community and harmonization of international standards.

I am confident that the GMP Conference will once again stand as a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices, a powerful tool to start new partnerships, joint initiatives, encourage contribution from the industry expert community in shaping and continuous improvement of medicines regulation in response to challenges of modern medical science and technology, and will expand professional horizons.
