However, special attention is paid to research in the field of the central nervous system and women’s reproductive health. The company has 6 production and development subsidiaries and joint ventures outside of Hungary.
The plant in Russia was opened more than 20 years ago and became the first foreign production site of the company. To strengthen its position on the Russian market, the company’s representative offices in the Russian Federation have united under Gedeon Richter Pharma LLC since 2019.
Russian sales of Gedeon Richter are about 21% of total sales in other countries of the company’s presence. According to IQVIA, Gedeon Richter is in TOP-10 foreign pharmaceutical companies operating in the Russian Federation. It is a socially responsible company, implementing CSR projects both at the global and Russian levels. Specifically, one of the most remarkable projects on the Russian pharmaceutical market Gedeon Richter Women’s Health Week aims to increase women’s awareness of reproductive health issues. Today, the company’s global headcount is about 12,000 people, of which 1,100 employees work in Russia.
